SA's COVID-19 death toll climbs to 12

Another person, diagnosed with the coronavirus, has died - bringing South Africa's death toll to 12.

The Health Minister updated the nation through a statement, saying that a 57-year-old man from the Western Cape lost his life - after he was admitted to hospital two days ago.
Zweli Mkhize says the patient had also suffered from diabetes and heart disease.

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases has gone up by 31.
In totality, the number of confirmed cases in South Africa now stands at 1 686.
Gauteng has the highest number of cases, followed by the Western Cape and then KwaZulu-Natal.
