SA Medical Association welcomes move to Level 2
Updated | By Nomfundo Ngcobo
The South African Medical Association (SAMA) is welcoming the move to Level 2 restrictions as a step in the right direction.

It says this signals a major shift in the country's response to the coronavirus crisis.
SAMA Chairperson, Dr Angelique Coetzee says while the association supports the move, people mustn't think this means the end of our fight against the pandemic.

She warns the road ahead remains long and uncertain.
"While Level 5 was necessary to get the medical fraternity house in order, we could not have stayed on a Level 5 or a Level 3.
"We need to open up the economy for other people who for the last five months couldn't work.
"We understand that there will be a second wave, again we can only advise the people out there on the wearing of masks and social distancing," says Coetzee.
