SA lockdown: App launched to help funding applications for businesses
Updated | By Nomfundo Ngcobo
Trade and Investment KwaZulu-Natal has stepped in to help package funding applications from all types of businesses in the province.

Small businesses and informal traders have been badly affected by the coronavirus lockdown.
Companies - not designated as essential services - have had to shut their doors completely.
They could stay afloat through various COVID-19 funding schemes offered by the government but accessing this money has proved to be a daunting task.

CEO of Trade and Investment in the province, Neville Matjie says the 'One Stop Shop' has been designed to be the central point of coordination, for KZN businesses.
He says companies can contact them using their app - which enables them to respond immediately.
"We formed a conduit for the company to put together the paperwork for normal registered companies."
"We also extended the faculty to some of the informal traders that is done in partnership and under the leadership of the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs."
