Overnight COVID-19 cases push SA's tally beyond 400 000

The number of COVID-19 cases in the country has risen to 434 200, a jump of 12 204 in 24 hours.

There is been a further 312 deaths in the country, bringing the total of lives lost to 6 655.
KZN is now sitting on 60 532 cases with 37 new deaths taking us to a total 602 lives lost.
263 054 people have recovered nationally from the virus. Meanwhile the Presidency announced last night that Trade, Industry and Competition Minister Ebrahim Patel has tested positive for the virus.
In a statement, the presidency says the minister is currently in self quarantine and will work from home.
