Hotels, guesthouses, lodges now open for leisure

South African's can now book themselves into lodges, hotels, guest houses and, BnB's under level 2 of the lockdown.
Tourism Minister, Mmamoloko Kubayi-Ngubane briefed the media on Wednesday to outline the regulations in the sector.

"The requirements announced under Level 3 remain, meaning record keeping, social distancing and, ensuring masks are worn in terms of our facilities remain. Now we are saying accommodation facilities can now accommodate any South African.
"We also emphasise that within the breakfast and reception area in order to ensure there is the safe distance they need to ensure the 50% occupancy in terms of floor space is maintained," said Kubayi-Ngubane.
She said restaurants that are located in these facilities, including inside tourist attraction establishments are subject to the same regulations as all restaurants.
Kubayi-Ngubanesaid level 2 will allow the sector to begin its process road to economic recovery.
