South Africa has now recorded 3 034 cases of the coronavirus after 251 new cases.

KZN has 13 news cases, taking the provincial total to 604. The Health Ministry has also confirmed two more people have died due to COVID-19, bringing the death toll to 50.
Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize said the two new deaths occurred in KZN and the Western Cape. 42% of COVID-19 related deaths in the country have been recorded in KZN.
"At the moment KZN has the number of deaths at 21. This is a matter of concern to us because most of these occurred in one hospital", he said.
The minister says COVID-19 testing in the public sector has increased significantly. He says so far - they have been over 100 000 people.
"About 2 weeks ago in the public sector we could be testing about a thousand people a day but as time went on pace increased. In the last 24 hours alone over 7 100 people were tested", Mkhize said.
