COVID-19: Panic-buy agreements reached
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
The Economic Development Department says it has come up with ways to deal with panic-buying.

People have been stockpiling items such as canned food, hand sanitizers and toilet paper since the President declared a national state of disaster over the Coronavirus outbreak.
KZN Economic Development spokesperson, Ndabezinhle Sibiya says an agreement has been reached after discussions between retailers, the National Consumer Commissioner and the Competition Commissioner.
"Retailers have ensured that they will put a limit on the purchase of items that are in high demand", he said
The MEC will also continue interacting with stakeholders which include the hospitality and tourism industries", Sibiya said.
