All the proceeds from French Montana’s new song with Adam Levine will go to a charity in Uganda.
French Montana is doing his bit for those less fortunate through his music. The Moroccan-born rapper will be donating the royalties from his single, 'Famous' featuring Adam Levine, towards a good cause.
The 33-year-old dropped the song's music video on YouTube a few days ago.
“100% of French Montana’s royalties for the digital single “Famous” Remix feat. Adam Levine will be donated to Mama Hope,” the video’s caption read.
Mama Home is a charity organisation French is working with to help rebuild and expand the Suubi “Hope” Health Center.
“Two other hospitals in the region were recently shut down therefore Suubi has the potential to serve hundreds of thousands of additional people with continued resourcing. The proceeds from “Famous” Remix will allow Suubi to expand construction and access to water which will ultimately provide health access to thousands more families across the country,” the caption continues.
French Montana donated $100,000 to the organisation. The ‘Unforgettable’ rapper has helped raise $500,000 for the hospital’s maternity ward to date.
“ONE STEP AT TIME !! First mission completed 300 thounsand [people]. Now we going for 450 thousand mothers and kids,” he wrote on Instagram.
Adam Levine says he is thrilled to be working on a song that will help those in need.
“I’m excited to be on this song with French and have the proceeds go to something so special and that’s really making a difference,” the Maroon 5 star said in a statement.
The ‘Famous’ remix video was shot in Uganda.
