Macklemore has some encouraging words for Demi Lovato following her alleged drug overdose.

The American rapper dedicated his single, 'Otherside', to the singer and those struggling with addiction while performing in Mainland, Massachusetts on Wednesday night.

The 'Glorious' hitmaker says he knows what it is like to relapse because he has "done it many, many times"

"I do that song because if it wasn't for my sobriety and my recovery, I wouldn't be on this stage here tonight... And I just want to send prayers and my thoughts and love out to Demi Lovato. I heard about that, and when we have this disease of addiction, that ties us, addicts, together and that's my sister in recovery. That song is dedicated to her and anyone else going through it right now," he said onstage.

Demi is "stable and recovering" in hospital after friends found her unconscious in her Los Angeles home on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old singer reportedly refused to tell emergency officials what drugs she overdosed on.

According to Us Weekly, Demi's friends called paramedics after giving her Narcan -a nasal spray often used to treat an opioid overdose.

"One of her friends had Narcan on hand in case something like this happened. Her friends knew this was coming because she’s been using so much again. They were up all night partying the night before at her house. Luckily, the Narcan worked and she will recover," a source told the publication.

Demi's hospital admission comes one month after she released a song called 'Sober', which details her broken sobriety

Macklemore's 'Otherside' also addresses his personal struggles with addiction.
