After 12 weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, Ed Sheeran's hit track, 'Shape Of You', has finally been dethroned.

Kendrick Lamar's latest single, 'Humble', jumped two spots to claim its place as the top song in the US.

It's the rapper's first number one single on the chart as a lead artist.

Another Kendrick track is also racing up the chart. His new song, 'DNA', entered the Top 10,  with an impressive debut at number four.

Both singles are off his critically acclaimed album, 'Damn', which was released on April 14.

The album is 2017's best-selling Billboard chart debut, according to Complex magazine.

It sold 603,000 copies in its first week of release.

But no-one is more excited about his recent album than his mother, Paula Oliver.

Kendrick shared a text she sent him praising his "bomb" album, and it is clear by all the emojis she used that she is one happy mother!

The rapper's collaboration with Maroon 5 on 'Don't Wanna Know' is currently number 32 on the Coca-Cola Top 40 chart.
