Celine Dion and Kanye West collaboration in the works?

Is Kanye West being roped into a remix for Celine Dion's 'Deadpool 2' single, 'Ashes'? Ryan Reynolds is working on it - kinda.

Celine Dion's Billboard Awards performance left the internet speechless!

An unlikely music collaboration could be on the cards in 2018 in the form of a Celine Dion and Kanye West remix.

A Twitter exchange between the Canadian superstar, the American rap god, and 'Deadpool 2' star Ryan Reynolds may have put the wheels in motion for a possible track.

It all started when Kanye Tweeted that the music in the blockbuster movie sounded very similar to some of his songs.

"I love both Deadpool movies…  I heard tracks in it that sound similar to mine…  bro I would have cleared my music for Deadpool …" Kanye tweeted.

Ryan replied with his usual humour. "Agree. I’m having a word with Celine Dion," he tweeted.

Celine, who sings a song called 'Ashes' on the 'Deadpool 2' soundtrack, liked the idea.

"Hmm, “Ashes (Yeezy Remix)” does have a nice ring to it… - Céline xx..."

And that is how an epic collaboration is made. Of course, Ryan and Celine appear to be joking but when Kanye is involved, anything is possible.

The rapper likes pushing boundaries and is known to keep people talking by doing the unexpected.

This, coupled with the fact that Kanye's wife Kim Kardashian is a big Celine fan (see the tweet we dug up from 2012 below), makes the collaboration seem more likely.

But we will just have to wait and see if the remix does in fact happen. Kanye went radio silent after his tweet and did not reply to Ryan or Celine - not on Twitter anyway.

She may be 50 and less cooler than Kanye (depending on who you talk to), but Celine remains a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.

'Ashes' is currently at number 27 on the Coca-Cola Top 40.

Celine performed the song live for the first time several weeks ago. Watch her performance below:
