Calvin Harris set to remix Spice Girls classic?

Calvin Harris owes the world a Spice Girls remix after Australia officially legalised same-sex marriage.

We could soon be hearing a hot new remix from Calvin Harris thanks to Australia voting 'yes' to marriage equality.

Back in 2012, the Scottish DJ allegedly promised to remix the Spice Girls hit single, '2 Become 1', if the Aussies legalised same-sex marriage.

And last week, the country did just that.

Governor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove signed off on the bill after the House of Representatives voted in favour of changing the Marriage Act.

Four MPs voted no, while seven abstained.

The landmark move is being celebrated by millions of people around the world - and some for a different reason.

Calvin's fans are hoping he will stick to his promise, and release a Spice Girls remix in the near future.

Australian DJ Filip Odzak claims he met the 'Slide' hitmaker backstage at a show in Sydney, where they made the deal.

He is now calling on Calvin to stick to his word.

"During your appearance at Marquee in Sydney, while hanging backstage in the library bar, we made a deal – sealed with a handshake – that you would remix Spice Girls' 2 Become 1 when marriage equality was finally legalised in Australia. Well, it just happened today... A deal is a deal!" Filip tweeted.

Calvin, whose single 'Feels' is currently at number 24 on the Coca-Cola Top 40,  is yet to respond to Filip's tweet.

But it would be a PR nightmare if he did not! So fingers crossed '2 Become 1' will get the Calvin Harris treatment in 2018!
