REMINDER: Water shutdown for upper Highway areas
eThekwini is reminding residents of a planned water shutdown for parts of the municipality from tomorrow morning.
The shutdown is to enable Umgeni Water to carry out essential work at the Midmar Dam raw water pump station.
For this to happen, water supply from the Midmar Dam to the Midmar Water Works and DV Harris Water Treatment Plant will have to be shut for an estimated 30 hours.
The shut down is scheduled to begin at 8am tomorrow and run into Friday afternoon.
Water will be available as long as there is supply in reservoirs. Communities are being urged to use the resource sparingly.
