VIDEO: Delicious lamb kebabs with Deon

Deon Govender pops into the new Jeera restaurant at Suncoast Towers to make these yummy lamb kebabs. The recipe is taken from our new book, East Coast Tables: The Inland Edition.

This week, What's Cooking is hosted by Deon Govender.
 
He went through to Jeera at Suncoast Towers to use their kitchen to make these delicious lamb kebabs - straight from our cookbook and onto your table.
 
Deon adapted the recipe from one that appears on page 97 of East Coast Tables: The Inland Edition
 
Here it is, as it appears in the book: 
 
Mrs Naga Naidoo's Lamb Kebabs
 
Ingredients: 
 
1/2kg lamb, minced
1 onion, finely chopped
1/2 tsp garlic, crushed
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 Tbsp fresh dhania, chopped
1 egg
4 green chillies, finely chopped
Salt 
Sunflower oil for frying
 
Method: 
 
Blend all ingredients except the oil in a food processor. Make into balls, and then grill or shallow-fry until they are firm and brown - about three mins on each side.
