It’s exactly 25 years since the Boks lifted their first world
title.

24th of June marked exactly 25 years since South Africa defeated New Zealand in the final of the Rugby World Cup.
The tournament marked the first time that the Springboks participated in the competition since being readmitted to international competition.
Nelson Mandela presented the Webb Ellis Cup to then captain Francois Pienaar in what is now an iconic moment at the Ellis Park stadium.
