Tokai Murder- too close to home for me!
I have family who live in Tokai- and this is freaking me out!
It is all too easy to read about murder in this country and feel removed. Desensitized even!
This latest murder in Tokai is making me feel particularly freaked out. The reason is that my bother-in-law lives in the area. He takes his dogs for walks in the forest. Often he is joined by his daughter, cousin to my two girls.
As a family we are close.
It is silly to feel this way. Murders happen around us all the time. But I cannot fight off this single thought: it could have been his daughter jogging!
This video of Florian and Shireen Blöchliger making their emotional appeal for help to track down their daughter Franziska's killer is harrowing.
It is a video I do not want any of my family to have to make, or any of my friends, anyone for that matter.
How do we stop this tide of killing in our country?
