Woman receives incredible gift after her wedding ring was stolen
Updated | By Damon Beard
Things like this don't happen every day!
In case you missed The Big Favour this morning, take a listen to it here:
Jessica wrote into The Big Favour to tell me about her friends Daphne and Franko, whose dreams for their big day had come crashing down.
Daphne and Franko have been together for years and have been through some really tough times, but together they grew stronger as they fought their way through these challenges.
One day Frank finally popped the question and Daphne said YES! Not having the finances for a wedding to take place right away, they decided to wait.
When they saw a competition where the first prize was a wedding venue, it was just the answer they were looking for.
Daphne entered - and WON!
The excited couple then sent Daphne's engagement and wedding ring into a jeweller to be adjusted.
When the couple heard the news that five armed men had stormed the jeweller and stolen all the jewellery, including Daphne's engagement and wedding ring - they were devastated.
The big day is on the 16th of September.
Narandas Jewellers, designers and manufacturers of Gold and Diamond Jewellery are in the business of making unforgettable moments happen, and Aashir Narandas popped into East Coast Radio to share some good news with the excited couple.
Aashir and his team sponsored a R9,000 wedding ring to Frank and Daphne, who were left completely overwhelmed.
An enormous thank you to Narandas Jewellers for coming to the rescue!
