Woman, 22, is over getting questioned about her 52-year-old husband

They say 'age ain't nothing but a number', but is it really just a number? Some people have a lot to say about the Maynards - a couple with a 30-year age gap.

I have always been of the firm belief that love is love, and that age doesn't really count, because at the end of the day, you can date someone close to your age and it might not work out. It's about two people coming together and making a promise to love and respect each other.

I have never been a judgemental type of girl. I really admire those couples who go against the grain when it comes to society and what they deem is the norm. I know of a colleague who is 28 and is engaged to his partner who is 50. Yes, there's a HUGE age gap, but I have never seen two people so in love. They just work and it's adorable.

Speaking about age gaps, Bruce and Chelsea Maynard, a couple from Tennessee, USA, have received a lot of hate and criticism for their relationship. Chelsea is 30 years younger than her husband, Bruce, who is 52-years-old.

On Air With Ryan Seacrest reports that the pair met back in 2017 at a coffee shop and the rest is history. They married about eight months later and they are living the 'happy ever after' that most of us dream to have.

However, Chelsea says she is really exhausted about the horrible comments they receive.

"I have always been told it is 'super sweet' that I still take my grandpa out to eat," Chelsea said.

Bruce says he is thrilled with the relationship he has with his wife. People still stare at them, but he cited that it doesn't matter and that Chelsea has 'an old soul'.

From my end, whether it be a 30-year age gap or less, this should not stand in anyone's way of attaining true happiness. I'm actually thrilled that Chelsea and Bruce don't allow the stare-downs to get to them. I live by the saying "Give them something to gawk at."

Instead of hating on them, people should be taking a page from the Maynards' book of what it's like to end up marrying the one that completes you.
