Her highness! Important rules to follow when dining with the Queen

Dining with royalty is something that most of us can only dream of. If you ever get an opportunity to eat with the Queen, there are two essential rules that you have to follow.

The Royal Wedding was just a week ago, and when Meghan’s in the company of the Queen, you can only imagine the great list of do’s and don’ts she has to adhere to.

Even something as simple as having dinner can become complicated for the Royal Family and some things can't be done in the presence of the Queen herself. MSN Lifestyle has reported two golden rules that must be followed when dining with the Queen:
- Never sit before Her Highness sits down - The Queen has to always take the lead and you follow suit.
- When she eats, you eat - If you're a slow eater, you'll struggle with this one because once the Queen is done with her meal, you aren't allowed to eat.
The most famous person I had the chance to have dinner with was Celine Dion during her 2008 Durban concert. I was asked to emcee the event, and I remember how nervous I was backstage. After the show was over, we had a light meal together. I wasn't sure if there was any particular dining etiquette and just went with the flow. Luckily Celine was such a star and was so easy going, so rules of any sort were out the window.

It got me thinking - who's the most famous you've had a meal with? If there were any dining rules, would you follow them?
