Extraordinary footage shows dolphin carrying unexpected passenger
Updated | By Damon Beard
Watch the incredible moment an octopus clings to a dolphin to escape danger.

We've seen it all before. Baby monkeys riding on pigs, a weasel on a woodpecker, dogs on surfboards - but this is different!
This is an octopus on a dolphin!
I don't think the octopus stuck out a tentacle and literally asked for a lift - it was more likely clinging on so it didn’t get eaten!
Check out these amazing pictures that have 'surfaced' of a dolphin jumping out the water trying to dislodge the tasty meal from its back.
Knowing it is not fast enough to out-swim the dolphin, the crafty octopus' remaining survival tactic was to cling to the predator’s back.
