Brave motorist saves baby kangaroo from inside dead mom's pouch
Updated | By Damon Beard
A quick-thinking motorist used her skills and wit to save a joey who had mere seconds to live while stuck inside its dead mother's pouch.
In this day and age, when we see so much negativity around us, it’s great to see something as heartwarming as this - albeit sad as well.
According to the New York Post, a motorist named Lauren Wagner came across a dead kangaroo in the road and decided to stop and pull her out of the traffic.

She then realised that tucked away in her pouch was a baby joey alive and well. Its little legs were sticking out of the mom's pouch.
Lucky to be alive after being hit by a car, the motorist pulled the youngster out and delivered it to a nearby animal rescue expert.
It was her quick thinking and kind heart which saved the joey. I was sad that the mom died, however.
