Alice Fields, now 24 years old, constantly battled with weight issues during her youth. Although she was enrolled in a gym from the age of 15, she always struggled with losing weight.

Her weight reached a shocking 92 kilograms and Alice felt truly trapped in her own body. She recently told the Daily Mail that “as a teenager, I would never leave the house without a cardigan on. Even on the hottest Aussie summer days”. She did everything she could to lose weight, which included running and sticking to a diet plan, but she still packed on the pounds.

Alice decided enough was enough. She was introduced to powerlifting and to the ‘If it fits your macros (IIFYM)' diet, which helps control her intake of fats, protein, and carbs. Remaining committed and determined, Alice dropped to a whopping 74 kilos and was the fittest and strongest she has ever been. When she looked at her weight loss progress, she could not hold back the tears.

Her story is simply inspiring. Find her on Instagram to check her progress out. Her handle is @littlemisssunshine.af.

Take a look at her amazing transformation below...

Hi, I am Alice Maria Fields. I am 24 years old and live with my little beagle in Melbourne. I like to say I’m independent, but that’s far from the truth. I’ve been told I’m strong and brave, but I’m really just as fragile and insecure as the next person. This world has thrown me some mighty curve balls in my short 24 years. Some that have knocked me on my ass. Hard. I’ve always put one foot in front of the other and attempted to maintain some degree of sanity, although it has not been easy. I’ve worked tirelessly to cultivate the external environment that I’ve on many occasions, lacked inside. 2016 has been the worst year of my life, at the same time as being amazing. I can’t explain all the whys and hows, but I can say that lessons have been learnt and it’s been one heck of a ride to self-discovery. The girl I found at the end was not who I thought she was. She was scared, frightened and doubtful. She was lonely and uncertain of herself and her choices. Upon reflection, although Alice Maria Fields is still all those things, she is resilient and selfless. She is kind and wears her heart on her sleeve. I take moments like this to look at what I’ve achieved and to find it inside me to be proud of myself. The biggest battle in life is realising you are worth more than you first believed. If there’s one thing I’ve learnt is that Dory wasn’t talking shit when she said “Just keep swimming”. You’ll get there. Where ever it is you are trying to go.
