Stranger steps in to join group of friends on holiday

This is such a wonderful story. A real tale of the modern times where social media paved the way for a novel and out-of-the-box holiday for one unsuspecting bloke.

This group of friends had planned an epic holiday together to celebrate a birthday, but at the last minute, one of their friends, Joe McGrath, backed out. Bummer! However, instead of letting money and a plane ticket go to waste, they decided to search the internet for someone of the same name to join in on the fun. And he agreed! Everything was paid for, all he needed to do was show up.

It seems like Joe's replacement did not disappointed in any way as they had the time of their lives. Joe, the replacement, actually had a chance to enjoy an all-expenses-paid holiday with a bunch of strangers who he now calls his friends. 

Can you imagine receiving a message like this from a bunch of strangers? Would you go? My first thought would be, 'is this for real?'. The red flag of social media dos and don'ts would be screaming for me to walk away.

I suppose one look at the crew he was going with would have put his mind at ease.

Even though their holiday was a hit and new friendships were made, I'm not sure if I would have done it though. However, there is a first time for everything, right?
