The Liberty Radio Awards takes place this Saturday, 14th April in Johannesburg but before the big event, Jane took some time to share her thoughts on the nomination.

As funny as it sounds, I hate talking about myself. I love being in front of the mic, but when it comes to topics about me, I shy away from it.

I love talk radio and enjoy the moments I do get to dig deeper into topics.

I was so delighted to be nominated for the Best Documentary and Best Podcast of the year category for my time spent Vanessa Goosen, who spent time in a Thai jail for being caught with drugs. Meeting her was one of the most humbling experiences of my life. I want to dedicate my life to being a portal for people to share their experiences and stories with me.

The time spent with Vanessa was extremely humbling, and I was so moved by her story.

Bring on tomorrow evening. I am so excited about the awards, and just being nominated in these two categories, I feel like I have won already. Big love to Thilo from The Timeless Closet and Kathrin Kidger. Jo'burg, I'm coming for you.
