The final stretch of the school year - how to get through it

The school year is almost over - the organised kids are just running through notes and the not-so-organised ones are playing catch-up.

Oh, my glory, just seeing the word 'exam' sends me into a decline!

Years and years of poor exam marks and shoddy preparation still lurks in the shadows of my left field mind. I never really grasped the concept of learning pages of info that didn't ignite and excite me. However, digesting material that was fueled by interest and passion was a lot easier.

I am currently studying for a spiritual life mentorship certification which will allow me to see clients on a one-on-one basis, helping them navigate through their life, but this means a written exam on the course material is on the cards. 

I am taking the old school route and going the pen in hand and neon highlighter, writing out the notes by hand so as to really understand them. In this case, the content is of such interest to me it has been a peaceful exercise.

Wish I could say the same about school exams!

2. Stick to your roster and avoid cramming

3. Get some exercise and a change of scenery
