The economy is a bit tight at the moment and a lot is at stake. If an opportunity arose for you that would potentially hurt someone that is close to you, would you go through with it anyway?

Hi Stacey,
My brother and I work in the same industry we are accountants. A few months ago he told me he was interested in a job at this firm, he applied and unfortunately didn’t get it. About a month ago, I met a recruiter from the firm and they headhunted me for the job.
It’s a good salary with benefits and I told my brother I’d be taking the job and he hasn’t spoken to me in two weeks and says I took his dream job and I should’ve been loyal to him and not taken the post.
