A local home cook shared her utter shock in a video on TikTok after finding a rasher with teats still attached.

South African home cooks hold onto your spatulas! A hilarious (and maybe slightly unsettling) TikTok video by @anathi_mthimkhulu is making the rounds and let's just say it'll have you giving your next pack of pork rashers a closer inspection.

Anathi, clearly in a state of surprised amusement, filmed herself holding up a rasher with some, well, unexpected extras attached.

Yep, you guessed it – teats! We don't often stop to think about the origins of our favourite rashers, do we?

Anathi's newfound knowledge has left her speechless (and the comments section in stitches). Read some of the responses here:

“This a good day to be someone who doesn’t eat pork.”

Thankfully, the company reached out to her to not only apologise but also offer her a voucher. Check out Anathi’s update here:

We still think that the next time you reach for the frying pan to cook up some rashers, you might want to give them a good once-over.

You never know what surprises might be lurking! But hey, at least you'll learn something new along the way, right?
