Junior Boks claim World U20 title
In Rovigo, Italy this weekend, the Junior Boks triumphantly lifted the World U20 Rugby Championship trophy finishing the tournament unbeaten. This marks South Africa’s first U20 championship in 13 years.
The Junior Boks deliver a 23-15 win against New Zealand. The Junior Boks are expected to arrive back in SA today.
Banyana Banyana are on their way to the AFCON Women’s semi-finals
Banyana Banyana are once again making us proud as they edge a step closer to retaining their TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations championship.
This follows a nail-biting quaterfinal against Senegal this weekend. After 120 minutes of no goals, Banyana emerged triumphant with 4-1 in the shootout.
Their next challenge is a semi-final battle against Nigeria.
Proteas smash Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club
Flying the flag high for Mzansi, the Proteas chased down Zimbabwe's target with ease, clinching an impressive seven-wicket win and wrapping things up with 16 balls still in hand in their Tri-Series T20I clash.
The Proteas are now one step closer to the final against New Zealand next Saturday.
Springboks thrash Georgia in Nelspruit
The Springboks closed their last Castle Lager Incoming Series Test on a high at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit on Saturday. The boys in green and gold beat a determined Georgian team 55-10.
They scored nine thrilling tries, giving the excited crowd exactly what they came for.
Telkom Netball League brings it all home
Bringing it all back to KwaZulu-Natal, the Durban ICC was home to the Telkom netball League this weekend.
The Gauteng Golden Fireballs took the crown after an awe-inspriing 47-40 win over defending champions Free State Crinums.
Impressively, the Fireballs were the only team to go through the tournament undefeated.
