Members of Parliament were left fuming on Wednesday when they find out that one of their MPs was at a liquor store during proceedings.

On Wednesday, there was a parliamentary sitting. This sitting was an oral questions session that featured six Ministers in the Peace and Security Cluster – Defence and Military Veterans, Home Affairs, International Relations and Cooperation, Justice and Correctional Services, Police, and State Security.

During this sitting, while the ACDP leader Kenneth Meshoe spoke in the National Assembly, one of the MP's video briefly switched on and showed him in what appears to be a liquor store during the so-called assembly.

The video then got cut abruptly but by then the whole formal sitting had seen and taken notice where one of their MP’s was before he realised his mistake.

The MPs were of cause not impressed with DA MP Tshepo Mhlongo, because from what they saw he was busy at TOPS during his work commitments.

It's shocking because we expect the MPs to be an example to the country and a good influence.
