The situation was tense on Thursday at the new Ballito Junction Mall as ANCYL members protested against ‘economic exclusion’. However, amidst everything going on outside the mall, this did not stop Checkers staff for celebrating their grand opening.

Footage has been circulating showing Checkers staff excited for their grand opening. They march into store triumphantly and in solidarity. Their songs of praise, clapping, and dancing filled the mall. They simply cannot wait to start their new journey at the store.
They also belted out the national anthem in true South African spirit. Their rendition will give you goosebumps!
