Rory celebrates an anniversary today

Coldplay's third album X&Y had just been released and I was living in Southampton with my brother Gary and two friends, Steve and Michael.

Coldplay was on tour and we had managed to get hold of tickets for their concert at Reebok Stadium, Bolton.

The day had come: 4 July 2005.

It was time to make the mission from Southampton to Bolton to make dreams come true.

We had been looking forward to this day for months. 

We had been playing the new album on repeat for weeks. 

We knew every word to every song. 

And then there we were. In the crowd at Reebok Stadium, dancing and singing in the pouring English rain. It was perfect.

And then Coldplay front man Chris Martin said: "I have good news for you tonight. You're all going to star in our music video for Fix You."

I think I might even have cried a little.

I cannot believe it has already been 11 years. I still have the t-shirt I bought at the concert. I still wear the t-shirt.

I officially can and will officially say, "I am in Coldplay music video!"
