Jean De Villiers: Springboks’ World Cup draw is a good thing

Former Springbok captain Jean de Villiers believes facing the All Blacks in the pool stages of the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan is a positive.
The Springboks were drawn in pool B alongside New Zealand and Italy – with the other two teams in the pool to be confirmed at a later date.
Springbok coach Allister Coetzee was at the event and said the draw was inconsequential. The Bok coach says the news doesn’t change the way they will approach the tournament.

East Coast Drive spoke to former Springbok captain Jean de Villiers. The 36-year-old veteran isn’t as concerned as the general public and believes taking on the reigning World Champs in the pool stages has a couple of positives.
