A German Bundesliga team fan has found a clever way to get fans into the stadium, without really being there.

A Borussia Mönchengladbach team fan has introduced an idea to add a live atmosphere to games while helping the local economy.

Ingo Müller, a member of Mönchengladbach's supporter's club, began selling cardboard cut-outs of fans' likenesses to place in the team's Borussia-Park stadium seats during games. They apparently cost just over $20, and Müller says he has already sold 10,000.
Each cut-out gives business to a local printing company and Müller says a portion of the proceeds will go to fans who are struggling financially during the pandemic.
This idea is so clever on so many levels. It is giving business to a local printing company, helping people struggling financially, allows fans to see themselves on tv in the stadium while they watch the game and it gives the players something to look at other than empty seats. We love it and would love to see it implemented in stadiums around the world.
