DA's John Steenhuisen's discrepancy that has been trending on Twitter for days now has got Bongani and Mags thinking - how many politicians have had the same sort of scandals? For instance, Julius Malema's woodwork report that went viral...
Black students break their backs trying get qualifications to stand even a remote chance of getting ahead in a system still dominated by elites - mostly whites in the private sector - and left with crippling student debt.

š£š£š£PER MONTH
How long will you have to study. How long will you have to work before you can make that amount in this country.
Thatās how you judge this matter.
You may die without ever hitting they target.
But this matric
The bar is so damn high for black people, you gotta have a PhD, 25 years experience, own car, 25k bank balance, O+ positive blood type and be a legacy kid to get an entry level job that pays less than 10k pm.

Generally, people in power are always scrutinisedĀ for what they have on paper; qualifications.Ā
A white boy with a Matric Makes R113 000-00 per month in Parliament whilst a black person in this country with a Matric is only good enough to pack groceries at Shoprite earning less than minimum wage. The Hypocrisy of our Democracy #Steenhuisen

I detest the idea of white people with no qualifications holding senior positions. Degrees are such a test of mental fortitude. They are so strenuous. Surviving a degree is a lot of work. To think there are people who bypass that because of whiteness.

Or are you managing people who are moreĀ qualifiedĀ than you?
What's your take on the matter, is a qualification on paper really such a big deal? If you don't think so, then that opinion must correlate with not putting so much financial and mental pressure on the youth of today to achieve said qualifications.
