It is often said that music makes everything feel better, but have you ever wondered what it means when the music gives you goosebumps?

Everyone loves music, some more than others, and we can all agree on the fact that there are some artists that we really treasure because we feel as if their music speaks to our souls.

In most cases, there is always a special song that marks an event, coupled with good or bad memories. Most couples have 'their song', and brides and grooms have their first dance to 'their song'.
There are some people who get 'the chills' while listening to certain artists or certain types of music. According to Viralnova, researchers Alissa Der Sarkissian and Mathew Sachs, who are research assistants at USC, are uncovering the phenomenon behind some people getting goosebumps when they hear a song that moves them.

According to Alissa and Mathew, people who get chills have fibers in their brains that connect the auditory cortex and the portions of the brain that handle emotional processing.
