Bongani rethinks his opinion on dating a single mom

On Tuesday Bongani spoke about his friend who is dating, and getting quite serious, with a woman who has a 6-year-old child. Bongani's advice to his friend was that he should end the relationship, but after reading some of the comments on social media, he's realised that there's more to this topic than he originally thought.

"To be honest, I didn’t give it any more thought than it just being a case of my friend asking for advice. I now realise how difficult it is for single moms to find love and how society often just throws them to one side, and what a struggle it is just to find men who accept you with your child, even though it is because of men that you are in this position," Bongani said.

We then asked KZN to tell us what they struggle with, and what the difficulties of being a single mom are. Single moms are often just expected to function normally within society, but we forget that they are doing the job of two people at home, besides holding down an actual job.
