“Why I almost quit” - Lady Gaga
Updated | By East Coast Breakfast
Just in time for Halloween, Lady Gaga is taking off her disguise and showing her softer, vulnerable side. She opens up to a group of students at Yale University and tells of her struggles with fame, drug addiction and the reality of the music industry.

Emotion Evolution, the event organized by Gaga’s ‘Born This Way Foundation’ and the Yale Centre for Emotional Intelligence invited teens from all over the world to discuss the importance of emotions and various ways to channel them in order to produce positive outcomes.
Lady Gaga addressed her very personal experiences in the music industry and the events that led her to contemplating whether or not to quit music. She talks about how drastically her life changed after fame & how it nearly destroyed her as a person. It’s after she took control of her career and life that she remembered who she was & what she represented, “and then you go home, and look in the mirror and you’re like, ‘Yes, I can go to sleep with you every night’”- Gaga.
