Telkom goes back to the future with a bold new look

The green is back! Telkom’s logo just got a retro-futuristic remix!

Remember that Telkom landline your mom used to shout on across the house? “HELLO?! CAN YOU HEAR ME?!”

Well, buckle up, because South Africa’s oldest telecoms giant just hit the refresh button in a major way - and they’re bringing the green back, baby!

Telkom has officially unveiled a brand-new logo and visual identity, and while it screams “futuristic”, there’s a very intentional throwback twist in the mix.

For the first time in years, the iconic green has made its comeback to the colour palette.

Gone is the corporate cool of the all-blue-and-white era.

In comes a “bright and bold colour palette” centred around what Telkom is calling the “Dynamic T” - a refreshed take on their classic logo.

It’s slick, it’s modern and it kinda looks like it could transform into a robot when nobody’s watching. (Just us?)

“Our Telkom ‘T’ logo is iconic and a symbol of our connectivity, reliability and innovation,” the company announced, clearly feeling itself. “As we signal the future, we refresh our ‘T’ to stay dynamic and relevant to the needs of our customers.”

This isn’t just a makeover for the ’gram. Telkom’s glow-up is financial, too.

After a rocky few years, they’re cashing big W’s in 2025. The telco reported a whopping 62.4% rise in full-year earnings, which is business-speak for: We’re doing great, thanks for asking.

In fact, they’re doing so well that they’ve decided to start handing out dividends again for the first time in four years.

That’s R1.3 billion going back to shareholders in both ordinary and special dividends.

Talk about a comeback tour.
