Updated | By East Coast Radio
'Smile for the camera' - a new study has revealed that smiling for those selfies is good for boosting one's mood.
The study, completed using college students enrolled at a West Coast university, involved downloading an app that would track their levels of happiness for four weeks, Cosmopolitan reported.
See: Goodbye selfie stick, hello selfie shoe
The students were asked to smile, photograph something that made them happy, and even take a picture of something someone else would appreciate and send the photo to the person in a selfie. After the four weeks, it was found that all participants had an improved level of happiness.
So go right ahead, smile and take that selfie. It is good for your mood!
