Son consoles his dad Nicolas Mahut after French Open loss
Updated | By East Coast Breakfast
The heart-warming moment took place after tennis player Nicolas Mahut lost at the French Open earlier this week - and it has brought the world to tears.
After losing in the third round to Leonardo Mayer, Nicolas Mahut sat on the bench on his side of the court and broke down. What happened after that has taken the world by storm.
As the crowd cheered him on for playing a great game, his son ran onto the court and hugged his dad as he cried - this moment alone has been viewed more than a million times on Twitter and definitely tugs on your heartstrings each time you watch it.
Mahut eventually gathered his belongings and walked off hand-in-hand with his son, waving to the crowd as he departed. As the cheers erupted, Mayer is seen applauding his opponent whilst wiping away tears of his own.
