KZN have not held back when it comes to the dismal loss against New Zealand on Wednesday.

While the majority of KZN feel absolute anger, others feel the Proteas put up a great fight. Even Darren Maule says: "That's what cricket is all about, it was definitely a nail-biting match."

After setting up a steady 241-6 chase for the Kiwis, the Proteas looked confident and ready to conquer the field. With the likes of Lungi Ngidi back on the pitch, SA were hoping to make good ground in securing a win.

After taking their first wicket, Colin Munro by Kagiso Rabada at 12-1, South Africa found their confidence and bounced back in the 14th over when Andile Phehlukwayo dismissed Marin Guptill for 35 runs.

New Zealand felt the pressure and had to make a solid partnership. Two overs later, Chris Morris dismissed Ross Taylor for a duck.

By the end of 16th over, New Zealand were on 80-4.

The Proteas were looking and feeling on top of the world, but the Kiwis put up a fight. Their skipper, Kane Williamson, stepped up when he knew he had to and eventually took his team to victory with a stunning 104 not out.
