Gena Löfstrand takes the #HotSeat fresh from World Champs
As we continue to celebrate our amazing women this month, team South Africa athlete Gena Lofstrand, fresh from the World Champs, joined us in the much-feared #Hotseat this week.
Gena Löfstrand takes the #HotSeat fresh from World Championships is a 21-year-old who recently competed in the 800m event at the World Champs in London. She is the perfect mix of South African and Swede, and has incredible talent.
Gena matriculated from St Mary's back in 2015 and made her mark in London this year when qualifying for the semi-finals of her discipline.
She rubbed shoulders with the likes of Caster Semenya and fellow South African athletes representing the nation with pride.
A lot of things happened at the champs - some controversial and some just bizarre, so we wanted to find out more.
She answers questions about Caster Semenya, gives us the gossip from off the track in London, and also shares with us her first-time experience of such a big stage.
