Tina Turner—the legendary soul singer-songwriter, actor, and author—has died.

It is with a heavy heart that we report the tragic news of the passing of legendary rock queen and cultural icon, Tina Turner. 

She passed away at the age of 83 on Wednesday (24 May 2023).

Turner passed away at her home in Switzerland after living with an undisclosed illness.

Often referred to as the "Queen of Rock'n'Roll", Tina's influence on the music industry will live on forever. 

Throughout her decades-long career, she sold over 100-million records, won 11 Grammys, and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1991.

While Tina was famous for her hit tracks like 'Proud Mary' and 'Simply the Best', her greatest accomplishment may have been her resilience in the face of adversity. 

Tina's journey is what helped her to become a source of inspiration for women and girls around the world. 

Her courage and unwavering commitment to her music put her music on the map, and for this, she will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace to the incredible Queen of Rock 'n' Roll.
