A proudly South African display of love on the roadway
Updated | By Udesha Moodley-Judhoo
Yes, this confirms that South Africa is a vibe and a feeling like no other country.

It's not the first time we have seen people use a trolley for something other than its intended purpose, and we doubt it will be the last time. South Africans are known for reinventing items created for specific purposes.
We remember when a Durban matriculant used a trolley to travel to her matric dance on the roads of Umhlanga.
Many South Africans use trolleys to cart around their belongings. While that might not seem unusual, seeing people ride inside a trolley on a public road without a proper steering mechanism is new.
A video shared on Instagram shows two people, presumably a man and a woman, travelling on a road in Johannesburg.
Despite narrowly missing oncoming cars and a sharp bend, the pair appear comfortable as the man controls the trolley's speed with his foot.
Social media users were happy to assume that it was a lady inside the trolley and romanticised the video with a narrative. One person said, "At least he came to her, picked her up and took her on a date."
The two were seen moving along with other vehicles and were not at all phased by the dangers this posed to their safety. The road that they are travelling on is hilly and has many curves. While the hills helped the trolley rider gain speed, the curves posed some risk here and there.
