Musgrave collision got us thinking about conscious driving

How can we all play our part as drivers? Perhaps by being more aware and vigilant when driving.

Many drivers believe that years behind the wheel automatically make you a skilled driver. The reality is that even the most experienced driver can end up in an accident.
A video shared on social media shows just how fast accidents can happen when a delivery bike driver crashed into another vehicle at a busy intersection on Ridge Road, Musgrave.
What's baffling is that an official can be seen directing traffic, despite the traffic lights at the intersection appearing to work just fine. The confusion may have contributed to the accident.

This is a classic example of how some drivers rely solely on traffic lights for guidance, ignoring everything else around them.
Approaching and proceeding with caution is a must when crossing an intersection, as the saying goes, better safe than sorry.
Luckily, the bike driver didn't look severely injured as he got up and walked over to see the damage. However, that could've just been adrenaline.
