Motorist caught driving in oncoming lane by SAPS

This was the perfect example of why you should stick to the traffic rules rather than try to defy the laws of the road...

We all sometimes wish we could activate our cars into air mode when we hit major traffic jams, but that's impossible.

Unless, of course, you are the Knight Rider and have your version of 'Kitt'.

As a motorist in KZN, we often find fellow motorists driving in the emergency lane, reversing off ramps, or worse, driving in the oncoming lane to avoid the backed-up traffic on the freeways,

A video shared on social media shows just how far some drivers would go to skip the traffic, even if it means putting themselves and other motorists' safety at risk.

We must admit that it's crazy how often taxi drivers do this and walk away with less than a slap on the wrist, but as the saying goes, 'a ten-day rogue must get caught one day'.

This motorist drove himself into the wrong side of the law when he was caught trying to avoid traffic.

The driver of a blue VW Citi Golf decided to drive on the oncoming lane to avoid the morning traffic in the Eastern Cape. To his dismay, a South African Police Services (SAPS) van was on the road and drove him out like in an old western.
