Low ride: Taiwan's lowest car goes viral

The world's lowest car, nicknamed the 'Banana Peel', was created by Honda in Taiwan and has left people with many questions.

Most car enthusiasts are looking for speed and style to sport something unique that stands out from the rest.

Car culture enthusiasts from Taiwan were on a mission to create something epic regarding automotive design using a Honda Civic. Whoever said the Honda was basic would be surprised to see how innovative and intriguing this world's lowest car is. It certainly stands out in terms of how it is driven, the mechanics, and the sleek design.

The car, nicknamed the 'Banana Peel' due to its yellow colour and slick 'close-to-the-ground' design, was reportedly developed by the Stance Garage Taiwan (SGT) team, led by Lan Dong.

According to the Times of India, "The body has been customised with a wide-body kit to accommodate the lowered suspension and to enhance its unique appearance."

The car's wheels are tucked into the fenders, and its invisibility adds to its appealing design, which makes the car look like it is gliding, while it moves millimetres off the ground. At first glance, it seems like the car is submerged underground, and there's an illusion at play.

Driving the vehicle doesn't follow the conventional method. If you're wondering how sitting upright in a car that doesn't have a lower body might look, the answer is, you dont. The driver has to lie down, as a mechanic would when inspecting your vehicle's undercarriage. It might be an intriguing creation, but not a practical one.

While the car is fully functional, it was created in Taiwan for display purposes at auto exhibitions.
