Ten-year-old boy weighs 192kgs!
Updated | By Damon Beard
Ten-year-old Arya Permana is in a race against time to lose weight - or risk losing his life.
According to The Heart and Stroke foundation, 'South Africa has the highest overweight and obesity rate in sub-Saharan Africa, with up to 70% of women and a third of men being classified as overweight or obese. A staggering 40% of women in our country are obese, which means they have a body mass index greater than 30 kg/m2. However, this is no longer just an adult problem, 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 5 boys between the ages of 2 – 14 years are overweight or obese.'
Now meet 10-year-old Arya, who is like any other little kid. He loves being outdoors, but he can only watch as the other little guys his age play football and run around.

He's different because he eats five meals a day with drinks five litres of soda everyday - 365 days a year, and he weighs in at a 192kgs - as much as two baby elephants.
He battles to even stand, so playing outside and running around is impossible.
This morbidly obese little boy is now in a race against time to lose the weight - and his family have put him on a brown rice crash diet to try and prevent him from putting on more weight.

This in my opinion is heartbreaking...
Where does the problem stem from? The only thing I can think of is that it's his parents to blame for over feeding him?
It is not like he can drive to the shops and spend all that money on food? So sad...
