Should wild animals perform in circus shows?

When will we ever learn? Why is it that we as humans just don't get it! Warning: This video contains graphic content.

A wild animal is WILD so I have to say that I have little sympathy for people who don't respect this and decide to use wild animals in shows to get a laugh or a round of applause.

A lion, crocodile, whatever it is - even if it's been tamed, will always have that wild streak in it. It is part of their DNA.

So a circus performer got the fright of his life when a crocodile bit him during a performance.

The so-called 'crocodile tamer' approached the crocodile and tried to calm it down but as he crouched down and put his face near the reptiles mouth - BOOM!

VIDEO: Circus lion attacks trainer

The 5-foot creature snapped its jaw shut, shaking the circus performer violently but not actually going into the death roll and for that the performer can be incredibly lucky.

Blood, screaming crowds  and a crocodile that's left alone on a stage - it's like nothing you've ever seen.

I remember as a child being at the circus and some lions got a bit out of hand. The very glamorous lady bravely cracking her whip became very un-glamorous very quickly as the lions ganged up on her.

Thank goodness a chap outside the cage didn't have to use his rifle and after a quick squirt of water, the lions decided to behave again.

 But my point is....

A wild animal.... is a wild animal.
