Pilot makes emergency landing after bird flies into engine
Updated | By Damon Beard
The poor bird!
Imagine the look on the passengers' faces when their pilot appeared in the cabin with what appeared to be the remains of a seagull in a plastic bag?
A jet bound for Tenerife heard a ‘thud’ and ‘heavy vibrations', and had to make an emergency landing when a seagull went through the engine!
A few questions from my side, though...
It doesn't say if the pilot appeared with the plastic bag DURING the flight or after they'd landed?
If it was during the flight, how did he get the bird from outside the plane?
Lastly, isn't it just a bit weird that a pilot would show the passengers the remains of the bird?
So strange!
